How long will it take for my furniture to arrive?
On average, it takes between 2-5 business days for your furniture to arrive, however, better estimates depend on your location! Here are some estimated lead times from the time you order until delivery to your door in a few popular regions and states.

What kind of furniture is Slim Furniture?
Slim Furniture is high quality knock-down (KD) modular furniture, designed to meet the utilitarian needs of a mobile population. Features include a tool-free construction with storage in every module. Made of solid wood, powder-coated steel, HR foam and washable micro-fiber, it is high quality furniture for an affordable price.
I need to make changes. How can I update my order?
Give us a call or contact us on the website, we would be happy to assist you in any changes prior to shipping.
Do I need to be home to sign for my furniture?
We ship all of our furniture via UPS Ground, which means if you are not home at the time of delivery, the driver will leave it right at your front door or wherever large packages are usually left! Leaving the furniture is at the driver’s discretion, so in some locations, they may not leave the furniture so they can safely re-deliver it the next business day.
No signature is required to receive the furniture unless you’re shipping to a place of business, in which case someone will need to sign for the order. If you’d like to require a signature for a home delivery, just let us know and we can arrange for that. Please keep in mind that once added, a signature request cannot be removed and someone will need to be present to sign for the package.
Note: If you live in an apartment building or walk-up or have any special instructions for the driver, contact UPS personally at 1 (800) 742-5877 once your tracking number goes live, or you can reach out to us and we’d be happy to pass along any notes.
How do I return my Furniture?
If your furniture is not to your satisfaction, we would like to know. Please disassemble all furniture into individual components, pack them in original arrangement back in the original boxes. This ensures that the furniture will ship safe and according to our standards. Contact us of your desire to return the product and we will work to arrange the return.
Do you offer financing?
As a small company, we’re unable to provide any type of financing options at this time. We currently accept payment via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
If Slim Furniture is so great, why does it cost so little?
Typically, furniture manufacturers sell their products through dealers, Furniture dealers like to get a wholesale margin, which is the minimum profit they would like to receive for vending a product. On top of that dealers like to add additional margin to see how much the public will pay for a new product, then mark it down at a later date to make buyers feel like they are getting a deal. This traditional sales model is great at adding additional fees that drive prices up and quality down. By selling directly to you, without having to cover the costs of brick and mortar locations, we get to work on driving the price down and quality up.
How does Slim Furniture compare to typical knock-down furniture?
Typical knock-down or flat-pack furniture is designed to be affordable and easy to ship. While these metrics are sound, the method achieve them is flawed. Most flat pack furniture boxes are filled with laminated particle board and an assorted bag of threaded fasteners. These materials often lead to structural or part failure when it comes to moving the furniture. With Slim Furniture you pay for a product that moves easily, but is also made from real wood, steel, high-resilience foam and utilizes only 2 ratchet straps that hold each module together.
Why are you called Slim Furniture?
When we started the company, we were looking for an acronym to capture the spirit of what we were trying to convey to the public. Slim is short for “See Logic In Moving”. As the company moved forward, the name has evolved into promoting utility and function.
Why is my order status not being updated?
We do not update the order status until your furniture has shipped. Once your order has shipped you will receive an email with the shipping details. If more than a week has passed, please send us an email at support or let us know by phone at (844) 600-7546 so we can further assist.

Where is my order? UPS Tracking page says it is delivered but I have not received it.
Send us an email right away and we will work with UPS to track down your package. In the case that the carrier misplaced or delivered your order to the wrong address, it can take up to 2 business days for them to complete their investigation with the driver. We will continue to work with UPS to get you your furniture as soon as possible.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Can I pickup my furniture?
Yes, you are able to pick up your furniture at our location outside of Cincinnati, OH. However, all furniture orders go through an inspection and covering process before shipment. Upon ordering your furniture, you will receive a confirmation email detailing when your furniture will be available for pickup
Is sales tax charged for my state?
Sales tax laws require us to pay sales tax on purchases made within states where we have physical operations. Right now, those states include: Ohio
To find the exact amount you will be taxed, enter your shipping address into the Checkout flow (you don’t need to enter a credit card to see). You will know the total price before you buy.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is 100% free.
How long can I leave the furniture in the box?
It is completely fine to your furniture in it’s unopened box. However, we suggest that you open and interact with the furniture within your 30-day trial.
Do you have expedited shipping options?
We ship Slim Furniture via UPS Ground so we’re unable to expedite the shipping or offer expedited shipping options. On average, it takes about 3-5 business days to receive your Furniture, depending on where you’re located.
Is the return process different if I ordered through Amazon?
All returns and customer support questions should go through Amazon’s support. We’re always here to help with general questions, but they’ll handle all returns or exchanges.
Please note that the 30- day trial is only valid for orders purchased directly from the Slim Furniture website. The trial for orders purchased through Amazon is 30 days.

If your furniture was purchased directly from Slim Furniture, then we will handle all aspects of your order and you can reach out to us by email, chat, or phone for help with returning or claiming the warranty.
What do I do with my old furniture?
As soon as your Slim Furniture arrives, we suggest our customers schedule a Salvation Army pickup or work with your local Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Local churches and homeless shelters are also good options.
Keep in mind that in order to donate used furniture, they need to be rip, tear, and stain free. Usually, there are recycling services in your area which you can schedule to remove your old furniture for a small fee if a charity won’t accept the donation.
Call or email us if you need some donation or recycling location suggestions and we’d be happy to help find some options in your area.
Do I have to ship it back in its original box if I decide to return?
Yes. To get full sized furniture shipped to you without large freight costs, a lot of effort was put into designing cartons that would ship UPS ground without any over charges. The furniture must be put back in it’s original arrangement and in the original carton(s) for s to get it back to our warehouse economically.
Please note that if you purchased from Amazon, their return policy may be different and you’ll need to contact them directly for information and help with returning your Furniture.
How do I make use of the warranty if I think my Slim Furniture might be defective?
If you discover a defect in your Slim, email us or give us a call at (844) 600-7546 to let us know what’s going on, and we’ll go from there. A couple pictures will help illustrate your concern, so please include those when possible.
What does the warranty cover?
Your Slim Furniture is covered by warranty for 3 years against frame defects and (90) days on upholstery
We don’t cover changes to your Furniture that are caused by or the result of normal wear and tear. Also, of course, we don’t cover changes caused by or resulting from circumstances or uses that go beyond the intended use of a Furniture—namely, reclining and sleeping. For example, don’t take your Slim for a ride down the street.
Can I get a replacement cover?
Slim warrants any damages in the cover due to defects in materials and workmanship when used normally for a period of 90 days from the date of original purchase. Send us an email if you’ve had a warranty issue and we’d be happy to help.

Our cushions are comprised of high resilience foam, topped with a layer of PE loft batting, and covered by a PE fabric .

What types of Furniture protectors are there?
There are three basic types of Furniture protective covers: encasement, fitted-sheet and pad. Encasement is just like it sounds: the encasement protector completely covers the Furniture. The second type of protector fits the Furniture like a fitted sheet. Both styles of protector are popular with people who suffer from allergies. Furniture pads are the most minimal and typically have elastic straps at the corners to secure it to the Furniture.
Keep in mind that using any kind of Furniture protector will most likely generate heat throughout the night.
What is the Furniture’ foam density?
Slim Furniture uses 100% synthetic HR 50 foam for its indoor furniture and 100% synthetic blown foam for its outdoor furniture.
What is the cover made of?
The cushion covers are comprised of a high performance polyester micro-fiber fabric. It’s designed to be soft to the touch, machine washable and durable for high use environments. The covers are not waterproof, so if there are any concerns, we’d recommend looking for a Furniture slipcover protector.
Can I use the Slim Furniture with a heating pad?
Yes, you can use our Slim Furniture with a heating pad and it will not damage the foam. If you use a specific heating pad that works great, drop us a line and let us know.
How many times can Slim Furniture be "knocked-down?"
Slim Furniture is designed to be “knocked-down” and reassembled hundreds of times. We ensure this by using high quality materials and no threaded fasteners.
How do I unbox the Furniture?
Carefully cut the taped edges of the top of each box in your order. Carefully unload the contents of each box into the area of setup. Take off all protective wrapping before assembling the components.
Will the Furniture smell or off-gas?
The furniture may have the “new” furniture smell, but that should dissipate within a couple of weeks.
Can I clean the upholstery covers?
You can machine wash all Slim Furniture micro-fiber covers. Just take the cushion out, zip the cover closed and throw it in the washer on gentle. For heavy stains, a stain remover may need to be used. Always hang/air dry.
Can the Slim Furniture components be stacked?
Yes, components can be stacked during storage or transport? We do suggest that you keep common components together to help prevent components from scratching the others finish.
How firm is Slim Furniture?
Our furniture is designed to be supportive over the life of the product. Brand new seating is firm, but softens up to a medium firmness over the life span of the product.
How does the Furniture feel to sleep on?
As little as two full size modules can be used as a mattress. With springs support and high quality foam, it beats your standard futon for a comfortable sleep.
What is the weight capacity of the Slim Furniture?
The Slim Furniture will support up to 350 lbs per interior module and 400 lbs. per exterior chair and 600 lbs. per exterior love seat.
Can you make custom sizes?
You are able to make any custom size depending on your space limitations. The interior modules are available in 2 different footprints (26″ x 26″) and (36″x36″). If you have the space, you could effectively assemble a 100+ foot sofa!
Do I need to flip my cushions?
We are confident that you will not need to flip over any of your cushions due to aging foam. They will prefom comfortably through the life of the product.
Can I sleep directly on my Slim Furniture?
Yes, you can. The micro-fiber cushions are comfortable enough to sleep directly on.
What does the Furniture look like?
Slim furniture would most broadly be described as contemporary furniture.
